The Mossberg 590A1 Short Barreled Shotgun (SBS) features a 14” Heavy-walled barrel, ghost ring sights, durable parkerized finish, metal trigger guard/safety button, speedfeed stock holding an additional 4 rounds, convenient magazine tube clean-out cap; and a forend strap to keep the shooter’s lead hand clear of the muzzle.
Reliability with pump-action shotguns is almost always through the roof. The 590A1 is as reliable as the shooter handing it. The 590 was the only shotgun to pass the military’s Mil-Spec 3443E test, which involved 3,000 full powered rounds of buckshot. The gun could not have more than three malfunctions and no part breakages. The Mossberg passed with flying colors.

Originally designed for law enforcement - Ideal for sportsmen the SPEEDFEED stock has two magazine tubes (storing a total of four rounds) molded into the stock. Each magazine tube (holding two shells) exits just behind the grip, one on each side of the stock. A steel spring in each tube holds the rounds in the magazine until they're needed and then with a flick of the finger, shells are instantly available for loading.
